Job description

We're looking for a motivated and commercially minded Junior Buyer to join our Generics Purchasing team on an initial 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their buying career within the pharmaceutical industry, gaining exposure to supplier management, commercial negotiations and stock management in a fast-paced environment.Working with a portfolio of generic pharmaceutical suppliers, you'll help ensure excellent product availability while supporting the delivery of competitive pricing and strong commercial performance. You'll build positive supplier relationships, monitor stock levels, place purchase orders and work closely with internal teams to identify slow sales, manage slow-moving stock and optimise product performance.This role may suit someone with previous experience in a purchasing/supply chain/buying team or someone who has recently graduated university and looking for their first industry role. If you're organised, analytical and enjoy building relationships while making commercially driven decisions, this role offers the opportunity to develop your purchasing experience within a collaborative and supportive team.
