Job description
The New Propositions Manager – Private Services is responsible for identifying, shaping and developing new private healthcare service opportunities that align with strategic priorities and drive future growth. This role leads the end-to-end proposition development process — from ideation through to go-to-market — ensuring new services are commercially viable, operationally deliverable, and customer-centric. Working cross-functionally, the role builds a strong pipeline of opportunities, develops robust value propositions, and ensures new services are launched quickly and effectively. Primary Accountabilities / ResponsibilitiesIdentify, design and develop new Private Service propositions aligned to strategic priorities and growth ambitionsBuild and maintain a strong pipeline of new service opportunities, with clear prioritisation and timelinesActively seek and develop partnerships with external providers, suppliers and organisations to expand the service portfolioBuild networks with service suppliers and partners to unlock innovative propositions and new revenue streamsIdentify opportunities to enhance existing services through external partnerships (e.g., ICBs and other healthcare organisations)Define clear value propositions, including customer offer, commercial model and key performance indicators (KPIs) for new servicesEnsure propositions are customer-led, differentiated and aligned with market trends and needsOwn and maintain governance frameworks for new service initiation, ensuring appropriate approvals, risk management and alignment to business standardsBe responsible for taking new service ideas to market quickly and efficiently, balancing pace with quality and compliancePartner with proposition, operations, marketing, supply chain and risk teams to ensure services are viable, achievable and aligned to divisional prioritiesWork cross-functionally across multiple service propositions simultaneously, ensuring effective coordination and deliverySupport and coordinate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across different service areas to deliver proposition development and launchTrack adoption, engagement and early performance of new services, identifying opportunities for optimisationLead proposition enhancements based on customer feedback, store insight and performance dataContinuously refine and evolve services to improve customer experience, uptake and commercial performance Knowledge, Skills & Experience Proposition Development & InnovationExperience developing and launching new products or services, ideally within healthcare, retail or service environmentsStrong ability to translate strategy into compelling, customer-focused propositionsTrack record of identifying and developing new commercial opportunitiesCommercial & Strategic ThinkingStrong commercial acumen with the ability to define viable business models and success metricsExperience assessing market opportunities, customer needs and competitive landscapesAbility to balance innovation with practicality and deliveryStakeholder Management & CollaborationExperience working cross-functionally across commercial, operations, marketing, supply chain and governance teamsStrong influencing skills, able to align stakeholders and drive progress across multiple workstreamsExperience managing external partners and building effective relationshipsDelivery & ExecutionStrong project management skills, able to take ideas from concept through to launchAbility to manage multiple propositions simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentStrong organisational and prioritisation skillsProblem Solving & LeadershipProactively identifies opportunities for growth and innovation, using insight to shape new propositionsBalances pace and rigour, ensuring services are launched quickly while maintaining quality and complianceNavigates ambiguity effectively, turning ideas into clear, actionable plansChallenges thinking constructively to improve proposition design and outcomesAdapts quickly to feedback and performance data, refining propositions to maximise success
