Job description
• Provide day-to-day management of the LIMS system
• To maintain and develop the LIMS to ensure optimum availability
• To ensure day to day disruption and downtime is minimised
• Work closely with IT Service Management to eliminate reoccurring issues by developing sound incident and problem management processes and business continuity strategies
• To train and support the Department IT Leads in the absence of the ILM Information Manager
• To support the Department IT Leads in the management of departmental specific IT systems
• Co-ordinate appropriate training and development for all staff members in line with service requirements
• To work as part of a multidisciplinary, cross-directorate technical support team
• Perform other duties and undertake special projects as requested by line management
