• To

provide appropriate advice to patients and carers regarding their medicines,

respond professionally to telephone and face-to-face enquiries from patients,

carers and a wide range of healthcare staff, resolving queries within scope and

referring more complex matters to the appropriate Pharmacy team member.

manage pharmaceutical stock across allocated rotational areas, including

ordering, receipt, issuing and routine stock maintenance, while completing

scheduled stock checks and maintaining accurate electronic records.

support the development of colleagues by assisting with the induction and

training of new Pharmacy staff, apprentices and support workers, acting as a

positive professional role model within the department.

coordinate the activities of dispensary support staff, allocating and

and deputising for Lead Technicians when required.

• To

undertake specialist pharmaceutical manufacturing activities, including adult,

paediatric and neonatal total parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy, cytotoxic, intrathecal

and non-sterile preparations, while carrying out relevant environmental,

equipment and quality assurance checks.
