To process, all medication

requests sent in by patients using the protocols in place.

Ensure that prescriptions are

completed accurately and efficiently following protocol

Process repeat

prescription requests

Deal with queries

over the counter and on the telephone

Entering details

of community nurses prescriptions into patients records

Other Duties:

Training

reception staff to undertake script and data duties in your absence

Any other duty as

allocated by members of the management team

Process online

repeat prescriptions

To collect repeat

prescription request from the fax machine, post box and reception

To liaise with

patients and pharmacies regarding queries and requests

To ensure that

patients queries on medication are highlighted to the relevant GP

To regularly go

through prescriptions not collected and unlikely to be collected as a result of

timescale, to remove the details from the patient records and then destroy the

prescription

Ensure up to date

patient information is recorded
