Job description

Community Division:

1. Responsible for reviewing and closing medicines related incidents that do not require clinical input

2. Monitor incident trends and generate reports for divisional governance under supervision of Senior Technician

3. Carry out pill school clinics under the direction of Lead Pharmacist and Senior Technician

4. Support the senior technician in medicines initialisation clinic counselling session

5. Supporting prescription management team with the queries escalating to clinical staff when required

6. Working closely with PCO to inform patients of prescription pathway and improve communication

7. Maintain data analytics of prescriptions

8. Liaising with community pharmacies around prescription issues

9. Supporting admin team in phone queries relating to prescriptions escalating to clinical staff when required

10. Under the supervision of senior technician develop and run medication workshops for ND team and patients/parent groups

11. Support in developing and maintaining RPA process for repeat prescriptions

12. Stock updates and gather information on new drug availability based on cost and clinical effectiveness

13. Support with patient information development with the Lead Pharmacist and Senior Technician

14. Support with SOP development with the Lead Pharmacist and Senior Technician

15. Support the lead pharmacist and senior technician with the agreed audit workstreams

16. Support in maintaining Prescription list for nurses

17. With the Senior Technician generate appropriate safety alerts related to medicines used within the ND service

18. Support in admin training for medication related documentation
