Job description

• Support the Head of Clinical Pharmacy Services in setting the strategic direction for the Clinical Pharmacy Service

• Contribute to the development of the annual business plan and strategic planning for the Pharmacy Directorate

• Implement Trust policies in relation to the Clinical Pharmacy Service

• Continually review the quality and standard of service provision through consultation with users of the Clinical Pharmacy Service and makes recommendations for improvement to the Deputy Clinical Director of Pharmacy

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and records for the Clinical Pharmacy Service and medicines management

• Assists Directorates and specialties in controlling drug expenditure

• Ensure the appropriate stock control and storage of materials and safe maintenance of equipment used in the provision of the Clinical Pharmacy services

• Complies with Trust policies relating to security and patient confidentiality and to ensure that procedures are undertaken within safe systems of work and legislation

• Participates in weekend, public holiday, out of hours and extended hours provision of pharmacy services
