Job description

looking for will need the following.

Knowledge of radiation protection

One who has worked with Tc-99m, In-111, Lu-177, I-123, Ra-223 isotopes.

Has knowledge on performing radiochemical purity test.

Understanding of Type A packages

Understanding of disinfectants or cleaning regimes required in an aseptic unit.

Preparation of radiopharmaceutical is desired but may take up to 6 weeks to train the candidate as they need to perform a media fill test 3 times and results can take 2 weeks to come back all results need to be clear of contamination before manufacturing can begin.

To prepare and package a range of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, and requires:

Transcribing from product Request Sheets into the Batch Book, preparing work sheets and labels using computer systems, calculating formulas, recording information for components used.

Assembling raw materials and consumables ready for preparation.

Using a disinfectant solution to prepare drugs and consumables for use in the clean rooms, to ensure they are free from contamination.

Preparing sterile medicines using designated aseptic processing equipment and approved aseptic techniques, according to departmental procedure and written methods.

Measuring and recording manufactured radiopharmaceuticals.

Labelling and packaging finished products.

To carry out environmental plate monitoring of rooms and isolators.

To carry out final product testing (radiochemical purity testing)

To be involved in the cleaning of clean rooms and isolators according to procedures in line with regulatory standards.

Cleaning of laboratory equipment.

To be involved in disposal of radioactive waste

Receiving stock into the department.

Sending back generators to suppliers.
