Job description

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of 20–30 GP/PCN contracts across your region. You'll lead clinical and operational teams, manage performance, and be the person your NHS partners rely on. You'll have the autonomy to run your region the way you think is best — and a commission structure that rewards you when it delivers.

Base: £48,000

OTE: £8,000–£10,000 — and there's no ceiling on what you can earn

Commission is tied to clear performance targets across headcount growth, service delivery, and margin — the better your region performs, the more you earn.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing day-to-day regional operations across 20–30 primary care contracts

• Line managing Senior and Lead Pharmacists, providing coaching and clinical oversight

• Monitoring KPIs, contract performance, and workforce metrics — stepping in proactively when needed

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with GP Practices, PCNs, and ICBs

• Leading workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development across your region

• Ensuring CQC and NHS governance compliance across all services

• Identifying opportunities for service growth and commercial development

• Reporting regional performance to the Managing Director and senior leadership team

Who We're Looking For

This role is ideal if you are currently working as a PCN Business Manager, Practice Manager, Primary Care Operations Manager, or Multi-site Primary Care Lead — and you're ready to take the next step.

You'll need:

• 3+ years in a senior operational or leadership role

• Direct, hands-on experience in primary care (GP, PCN, NHS)

• Proven ability to lead and influence multi-site teams

• Deep knowledge of NHS structures and PCN operations

• Strong performance management and analytical skills

• Full UK driving licence

You'll stand out if you have:

• An existing network across GP practices or PCNs in your region

• Experience in service redesign or pathway improvement

• A background in healthcare ops or medicines optimisation

• A leadership or management qualification

• Experience as a registered healthcare professional

Why Join The Pharmacist Network?

• Real autonomy — you manage your own diary and your own region

• Uncapped commission with a clear, transparent structure

• Travel expenses fully covered

• Hybrid working — weekly regional travel, monthly HQ visit

• Genuine career progression as TPN grows nationally

• Leadership team with 60+ years of combined primary care director-level experience

• Meaningful work — improving NHS primary care outcomes every day
