As Dispensary Manager, you will take full responsibility for the operational management of the dispensary , ensuring prescriptions are processed safely, efficiently, and in line with GPhC standards and NHS regulations .

Operational Leadership

• Oversee all dispensary operations, ensuring smooth workflow and service delivery

• Manage prescription volumes within a distance selling model , ensuring turnaround times are met

• Optimise processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

Clinical Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, SOPs, and NHS contractual requirements

• Maintain audit-ready records and support regulatory inspections (e.g. CQC, GPhC)

• Oversee incident reporting, dispensing error investigations, and learning implementation

• Ensure controlled drugs and prescription governance requirements are met

Quality & Patient Safety

• Champion a culture of patient-centred care and continuous improvement

• Monitor service quality, responding to patient feedback and complaints

• Support the safe handling of remote patient queries (phone, email, digital platforms)

Stock & Systems Management

• Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock accuracy

• Oversee use of EPS and digital pharmacy systems

• Ensure secure data handling and GDPR compliance
